Looney Tunes Monster Tweety Bird Figure

He is pretty cool, isn't he? Not much I can recall expect that anytime I see a toy where it is an evil incarnation of it's original form, I grab it. I do know that Mattel made it in 2003.
I really wish someone would do a 12 or 16 inch statue of this menace!

1971 Federal Milk Glass Superman Coffee Mug

I use this daily...This IS my coffee cup...Every morning gently washed, and filled with java to start the day.
Some may ask; "Hey, I thought you are all about The Batman", yes....yes I am...That's why I use a Superman mug....I tried to recreate the entire image...sorry for the sloppy piecing...

It doesn't hold much coffee, but perhaps that is good....I am able to finish each cup without it getting cold....

Stay Puft Marshmallow Man Stress Toy

One of the perks I used to have was that my wife used to work at a movie/video game rental franchise. And every once and a while, she would bring home a goody or two. Sometimes, I felt like a kid waiting for daddy to come home, when she would call me and tell me she has something for me. One particular day she come home with this little guy. So...but wait, let me get this right..Ghostbusters comes out in  1984, and this game came out in 2009? Wow, that is some serious staying power....Too bad the games was very successful.

The only bad thing about this, is that it's not the EVIL Stay Puft  Marshmallow Man...That would kick some serious balls. Made somewhere in China exclusively for Sony and Atari...

1978 Superman Slide Tile Puzzle

I recently purchased this bit of my childhood late in 2011. I remember this was my 'busy' toy when the family had to take a long drive. My mom would mix up the tiles and I would try to reconstruct Superman to his chain breaking glory.
I have yet to scramble the tiles on this puzzle, and probably never will. This I actually won from some seller in the UK. Even with the shipping it was under 10 dollars.

Batman and Robin Society Charter Member Button

If you don't know me, you will soon find out I have many passions which contains; music, art and The Batman. I found this 3 1/2" button at a flea market in the early 80s and had to have it. 2 bucks seemed to be a fair price for something I never saw before.

Upon examination this guy's edge bears these markings:

"Button World Manufacturing B'klyn 36 NY Official Licensee Copyright 1966 National Periodical Publications Inc."

This is one of the very first items that was intentionally purchased for it's display, and even today...
Proudly still on display in my man cave

Brave And The Bold Volume 1 Issue 84

It's not news that I love comics....I read them I buy them, I collect them.
The very first comic I ever bought was issue 84 from DC Comic's Brave And The Bold.

It was 1969, I was 7 years old and never picked up a comic book in my life. My great grand father took me and my older brother to the corner store one day, and for being "good", I was able to pick out anything in the store that was a dime. My older brother was looking at Amazing Spider-man, issue 74 and asked if he could get it. My great grandfather say that would be fine. I said, "Hey, that 12 cents not a dime." My grandfather said go ahead and one pick out.
I am sure I had my eye on some candy or some other tasty treat, but picked one out that I at least knew who was on the cover, Batman. I had no idea who Sgt. Rock was. There was something about the cover that intrigued me.
I don't know if it was that the corny Batman from the TV series seemed out of his element or that the man in his arms was dead.
Now.... this isn't the same book I had when I was 7, it's from a recent E-Bay purchase,
but every time I look at the cover...
It's almost like stepping into a time machine.
